AMANDA'S EXPRESSIONS

Resume builder for a tech motivated student.  A local Washington Salon is looking for a tech savy mature young person to assist with upgrading their scheduling system from paper to online software/App.  It's a big deal for this small women owned company to change their current system and adapt to the new technical system.  The person who takes on this project will be working in the back office directly with the owner.  But it's primarily an independent project.  The owner will be relying on the tech knowledge of the new hire because Amanda is not comfortable with technology.  The project is estimated to take 4 weeks but this is a guess.  The 3 day a week schedule is nice because it leaves the evenings and weekends available.

WASHINGTON HEALTH SYSTEM

WHS Medical Assistant in Training Program

In partnership with Career Step, the WHS Medical Assistant in Training Program provides education on all aspects of the profession through a Medical Assistant online schooling program combined with out WHS Clinical Internship program.

How does the program work?

New Classes start twice a year, in March and September, with 5-6 students accepted per class based on applications and interviews.

Students are hired as full-time WPG employees and work 40 hours per week, earning a paycheck right from the start.

This program includes both online and in-person clinical training.  WHS provides a computer training room onsite to complete the online courses.

Time to complete the program is 5 months (492 online hours and 300 clinical hours).  After completion you are guaranteed a full-time position in one of our WPG/Family Medicine offices.

How much does it cost?

NOTHING! If accepted to the program, WHS covers the costs for online classes through CareerStep for participants.  WHS also provides all the hands-on clinical training in our Simulation Center as well as onsite at our WPG  and Family Medicine offices.
